BINGE WORTHY

So I finished this one in about a day. It was a really easy read- in a good way, of course. When I first read the review though, I was actually turned off by the social-anxiety idea. I couldn't see how it could POSSIBLY make for an easy read, but I think Levenseller made it work.

So, I've enjoyed all of her novels. They aren't the BEST things I've ever read in my life, but they are a quick, fun read. I felt the same way about Blade of Secrets. It was a cool premise, some low fantasy world-building, a shiny map, etc...and I'm on my way to a pretty chill Saturday.

Here is the idea. Girl born with magic gift and orphaned at a young age, plans to use the money she makes to smith magic weapons until she can escape her small fantasy town. There is a strange turn of events when she is forced on the road with her sister, a teenage librarian, and a sexy muscled warrior. What is there to NOT like?

(view spoiler)[Well...How is it that she spent 6 years of her life making money and smithing weapons, and 1/2 way into the book it is all gone? Also, by the time we meet up with some family, they are just complete jerks to her. So what IS the point here? How am I ever going to see a happy ending with these? I know it will end happy and tidy because that is just how YA works, but I feel like book 2 is going to really take us on a whirlwind to get to that point. There has to be something we are missing.

Also, at the end of the book, WHY DIDNT THEY JUST KILL THE VILLAIN. For the love of the Gods and Sisters. That will come back to bite them in the ass. (hide spoiler)]
